A Plea for Justice and Integrity Within the Diocese of Joliet

Dear Members of Our Faith Community,

I write to you today with a burdened heart, seeking your support in a matter that strikes at the core of our moral and religious convictions. As afaithfuladherent of the teachings of the Catholic Church, I am embroiled in a grievous situation involving the Diocese of Joliet andAll SaintsCatholic Academy, where the principles of justice, transparency, and the sanctity of the vulnerable have been deeply compromised

In stark contradiction to the season of giving and family unity, my children were forcibly removed from my care just days before Christmas. Thisaction deprived us of familial joy and symbolized a profound injustice that saw them miss six critical months of their lives—a time we will neverget back. This act was influenced by directives from individuals including Thomas Neal and Wendy Musielak, shockingly endorsed by orders thatappear to protect rather than probe potential misconduct deeply rooted within our institution

On April 11th, 2024, just one day after subpoenas were issued, Ms. McLean, the legal representative of the Diocese of JolietCatholic Church, sent a stern letter to both my workplace and home. This letter warned of my arrest should I set foot on school grounds, signaling a clear attemptto intimidate and silence me in the wake of demanding transparency.

On May 13th, 2024, a motion was filed to impose legal sanctions on Mrs. Magana, Mrs. Marshall, and Mrs. Detwiler for their failureto producecomplete records as legally required. These motions are pending a hearing. Despite previous orders compelling them to disclose the necessarydocuments, compliance remains incomplete, highlighting ongoing evasion of legal responsibilities and conversations that would reveal theirheavy involvement in my divorce and covering up child abuse with the help of the legal office of Joliet.

The pain we endure is magnified by the church’s silence on matters that should, by its own teachings, elicit concern and corrective action. Ourlamentations are not merely for the loss of time but for the apparent abandonment of the church’s duty to protect the most innocent among us.I am compelled to question: Where is the church’s voice against the evils of child abuse and corruption? Why does the darkness of injusticecontinue to fester within our hallowed halls, unchallenged and unchecked?

In pursuit of these actions, I am not merely a lone voice crying out in the wilderness but a member of our faithful community, insisting that ourshared values be upheld and acted upon with courage and sincerity.

I am calling on you, my brothers and sisters in Christ, to stand with me, to lend your voices to this cause, and to bring about the change that ourfaith demands. Let ustogether ensure that our church is a beacon of truth, justice, and unconditional love, reflecting the teachings of Christ inevery action we undertake.

Thank you for your support, prayers, and action. May God guide us all in restoring integrity and justicewithin our community.

Call For Action

Independent Investigation

I urge the Diocese of Joliet to commissionan independent investigation into theallegations of child abuse cover-up withinAll Saints Catholic Academy. It is our duty, guided by the scriptures,to “Rescue theweak and the needy; deliver them fromthe hand of the wicked” (Psalms 82:4).

Prevent School in Divorce

Demand that the school refrain frominvolving itself in personal divorcebattles and taking sides. They shouldremain neutral and upholdtheintegrity of their educational mission

Support Legal Compliance

I call upon the community to stand with usin ensuring that all involved parties adhereto legal notices and court ordersdemanding transparency. The scripturesremind us that, “Justice, andonly justice, you shall pursue, that you may live andpossess the land which the Lord your Godis giving you” (Deuteronomy 16:20)

Foster Open Communication

I implore the church to open lines of communication with those it serves, addressing concerns withthe severity and sincerity theydeserve. As stated in Proverbs 31:8-9, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speakup and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.
